Trip Summary

Join us on a culinary adventure through the heart of Burgundy. The Côte d’Or region is a patchwork of sensory delights and vistas, including fragrant valleys, rivers, legendary vineyards, and storybook French villages. Discover the soul of French gastronomy through curated tours, dining experiences, and classes held by Chef Katherine, a passionate gourmet chef and writer. Taste flavors that are now global household names in their place of origin.

Chablis, Dijon, Burgundy – home to an abundance of culinary traditions, many of which are synonymous with some of the best-known flavors in the world. Explore the elements of classic French cooking, visit several of Burgundy’s famous vineyards, discover local markets, and taste the freshest goods from local artisanal producers.

Experience relaxation and inspiration in a classic French countryside abode. Our home for the week is a 400-year-old farmhouse nestled quietly by the stream that bears the same name. The farmhouse once belonged to a Chateau and is situated in the charming village of Marigny-le-Cahouët. A sleepy town, as if straight out of a storybook and a perfect backdrop to enjoy a glass of local chilled rosé while catching whiffs of fresh herbs and watching the local scene unfold.

Burgundy-call-out

Uncover the historic towns and idyllic countryside of Burgundy, spend afternoons in charming, picturesque villages and UNESCO world heritage sites. Centrally located, our beautiful farmhouse is the perfect jumping-off point to explore the best of Burgundy and its vineyards, including Chablis, Irancy, Coulanges le Vineuse and St. Bris, Cote de Nuit, Fixin, Nuits Saint Georges and more. Our hostess has exclusive access to many vineyards, for private tours and tastings. Prepare for a “full taste of a region” brimming with local delights. If you also fancy walks through medieval towns and countryside picnics, this trip is for you.

Relax, restore, luxuriate during our visit to the spa at Le Relais Bernard Loiseau. Enjoy pampering treatments before dining at their Michelin-star awarded restaurant.

Appreciate fine French wine? Did we mention wine? A wine expert will escort us on some of the vineyard visits. Expect informative tastings, followed by plenty of time to enjoy the region’s finest!
